National Kava Forum
Fair Canberra hosted the National Kava Forum in June 2021 where an array of delegations voiced concerns about the current laws and legislations for the importation and use of Kava (Piper methysticum) in Australia. The Forum focused on how access to Kava can be progressed further for the Pacific and Indigenous communities.
In collaboration with the Woden Hellenic Club, Fair Canberra brought its first Hellenic Festival to the Canberran community in March 2021. More than 20 cultural groups performed dances and there were food stalls with cuisine from all around the world over two days. The Festival was a huge success, with more than 1000 people in attendance.
